Donation of £3000 to Essex & Herts Air Ambulance Charity
Woollensbrook Crematorium are pleased to present a donation of £3000 to the local life- saving charity Essex & Herts Air Ambulance. Martin Langdon, Crematorium Manager, is pictured with Natasha Robertson, Fundraising Manager at the Air ambulance base in North Weald. Unfortunately the helicopter was not at the base as it was on a life-saving mission. Martin was given a tour of the facilities and Natasha explained the work the dedicated crews and doctors do.
Essex & Herts Air Ambulance, unlike NHS emergency services, is a Charity providing a free life-saving Helicopter Emergency Medical Service for the critically ill and injured, despite costs of £9 million every year. Their aim is to save lives, reduce or prevent disability, or suffering from critical illness and injury, by delivering a first class pre-hospital emergency medical service using Rapid Response vehicles which are fitted with state-of-the-art life-saving equipment.
Without access to National Lottery funding and with only limited support from Government, they rely upon the generosity and goodwill of the people and businesses of Essex and Hertfordshire to remain operational and keep saving lives.
